Website outtages
Website News Our website host provider had been encountering technical difficulties in the past week. (April 23-27, 2011).  This has resulted in signifiant site availability issues particularly since the Easter weekend.  They have assured me this should be resolved shortly and normal site availability should be restored.  Hopefully this will not have impacted you too much.  Thank you for visiting rathborne.net

Neighbourhood Watch
Neighbourhood Watch molkobrian writes "
Another area resident has taken the time to make the following article:

I'd like to explain what Neighbourhood Watch is :)

Neighbourhood Watch is an exellent initiatve set up by An Garda Siochana. It is run and organised by our local Community Gardai in Cabra Garda Station. It entails,  having one area co-ordinator over one area, ie. one area co-ordinator over Rathborne! Then there would be street co-ordinators over each street/ sector ie. the way, court, avenue etc. Each  street co-ordinator will report back to the area co-ordinator and give updates on issues that are arrising on their streets. The area co-ordinator will report back to the Community Garda assigned to this area at the Community Watch meeting. This does not mean that every resident cannot attend the Neighbourhood Watch meetings,  it is just a way of conveying problems appropriatley to the Gardai.  Just want to add, any information that residents give is totally confidential and will never be given out. The most important part in keeping our Community safe is the community themselves :) Any questions on Neghbourhood Watch please contact me :)

To contact anyone in relation the Neighbourhood watch process contact members of your respective committees.  You can also view the postings on the forums section of Rathborne.net"

Luas
Trains at Rathborne jonathan writes "
LUAS

The planned line from St. Stephens Green to Broadstone and on to Broombridge is still on track. From Broadstone to Broombridge the route will be the old railway cutting which passes under the North Circular Road, New Cabra Road and Fassaugh Road bridges.  The construction work should cause minimal disruption in Phibsborough and Cabra and the end product should provide a wonderful public transport amenity for the area
